The German town of Weimar is beautiful and certainly worth a visit. There are a number of streets with interesting Art Nouveau buildings, mostly designs by Rudolf Zapfe. Also worth mentioning is that the great Belgian designer Henri van de Velde left his mark on the famous city. He is the founder of the Kunstgewerbeschule, which is considered a precursor to the Bauhaus school.
See the classic glass shade as an ode to Art Nouveau around 1900.
