Hector Guimard (1867–1942) was a French architect considered the most important representative of Art Nouveau in France. In 1900, he designed the famous entrances to the Paris Metro.
Pastel shades were often used in the Art Nouveau style, and soft colors were also popular in the 1950s. They are currently being used again in many modern interiors!
