New lamps at Art Deco Trade, called Calabash! Stunning hand-blown lamps in the colours Blue Ballet, Anika Green and Amber. This glass has a sumptuous rounded shape with lines (ribs) that have been artfully blown into the glass. The spherical shape is characteristic of the Art Deco style and remains hugely popular thanks to its modern look.
The Calabash is inspired by the glassware of designer Andries Dirk Copier (1901–1991), the most important Dutch glass artist of the 20th century.
The calabash fruit served as a model for blowing various flower vases in interesting, experimental colours: the ‘Flora’ vases. These vases were often filled with fragrant lilies, tulips, hydrangeas or peonies.
Turquoise or Aqua Blue: A spectacular Art Deco colour. Whether more green or more blue, the translucent glass certainly evokes the waves of the sea against an endless horizon! To be clear: the colour is not created using foil or spray painting. The pieces are hand- and mouth-blown using a traditional glass formula.

The Calabash is available in three colours and three sizes.
The pendant lights feature black linen cords, with a choice of fittings in polished nickel, matt nickel, bronze or brass. The textile cord has a total length of 150 cm and can easily be shortened. Fitted with an E-27 socket.
The models are also available on fixed pendants or as ceiling lights, naturally in polished nickel, matt nickel, bronze and brass.
The Calabash Small can also be used as a wall light. The light fittings are available in three models: The Curve is very sleek, the Royal is elegant and the Meander model is graceful. The light fittings are available in polished chrome, as well as in brass, bronze and matt nickel. Extremely popular and ideal for a bathroom. Functional and striking when placed next to or above mirrors!
