Imagine yourself on Wall Street or in the Scheepvaarthuis in Amsterdam with this notary lamp! The famous Banker lamps were on display at the Wallstreet Stock Exchange in the early 1930s. Under the glass shade and in the even glow of the light, legendary million-dollar contracts were signed.

The Scheepvaarthuis on the Prins Hendrikkade in Amsterdam was built from 1913 as a common office building of six Amsterdam shipping companies. The building, located on the western tip of the Waal Island, is widely regarded as the first building constructed entirely in the style of the Amsterdam School.

Scheepvaarthuis

The banker lamp by Coloured by Art© is an Amsterdam school-style design. The Tiffany glass in attractive patterns is eccentric and oh so pretty.... Beautifully coloured in typical Amsterdam School colours: warm orange, red, yellow and green. Subtle yet striking. And look at the base of the lamp: A layered Art Deco triangle shape! The glass shade is adjustable and matches the fixture perfectly.

Millions of transactions or not, this Tuschinski Banker is functional and also a piece of jewellery!
