Were looking forward to it! Travelling to the most beautiful places and cities. Eating and drinking, relaxing and experiencing culture. The Corona virus limits us, but we can enjoy a lot of things again. Aren't you going on a trip? Then enjoy our new Tiffany models "Shine a light". The design of these lamps are based on the original stained glass windows of the famous hotel LVTETIA (Lutetia) in Paris.

Paris is a real metropolis, very internationally oriented and attracts large numbers of tourists every year. Already in 52 BC Julius Caesar conquered Paris. The Romans, built a coherent road network on a large scale. Early forms of tourism were mainly focused on business or pilgrimages. However, people now began to travel to see famous monuments or to enjoy the thermal baths and the sea. In the current 21st century, Paris attracts millions of tourists!

The original name of Paris was Lutetia, also known as Lutetia Parisiorum. Lutetia later disappeared as a name and Paris (Paris) took its place. Hotel Lutetia was originally opened in 1910 as a logical consequence for emerging tourism and to accommodate the intellect for new ideas. Lutetia became a place where art, music, philosophy, science and politics could be created. Famous guests such as Matisse, Picasso, Josephine Baker and Juliette Greco liked to reside in the motivating building. The architecture of the building is based on the Art Nouveau style, but already clearly shows elements of the emerging Art Deco style. The interior design was also completely in line with the then prevailing trend.

Above brings us to our new lamps Coloured by Art© "Shine a light"! The team of Art Deco Trade developed 2 new lamps, a wall lamp and a table lamp. The lamps are inspired on the stained glass windows of the Lutetia hotel. Unfortunately, these windows were removed from the building during the renovation of the hotel in 2014. The windows will be kept in a special depot.

"Shine a light" wall lamp: Stylized sunny flowers. The sultry yellow hearts are framed by transparent glass with various textures. The whole is framed in a black frame that closes the windows as it were. A fantastic model that radiates warmth.
