Florist and/or plant lover? Choose Tiffany!

In 1885 Louis Comfort Tiffany created the glass artwork Flower, Fish and Fruit, with lush flowers and plants. The interplay of the brightly colored flowers and plant leaves with the glassware from Tiffany can be seen more often. Successfully! Read in this blog why it is a good idea to style Tiffany with flowers and plants.

At our Spring Fair we made the combination of furniture, lighting and flowers by filling our Coloured by Art© vases with decorative (blossom) branches on the cabinet cupboards. Why do they fit so well together?

Play with light

First of all there is the shape of a flower. The elegant petals are all unique: just like the artfully curved glassware from Tiffany. One of the reasons why we see many flower shapes in the design of Tiffany. For example, look at the Lovely Flower series and the Tiffany Table lamp Hydrangea.

The color shades in the glass can also be compared to flowers. Due to the fragility of a petal, it often has no fixed color. These different shades of color can also be recognized in Tiffany glass. Then there is the sunlight. The rays of light like to play with the colors of flowers and also make Tiffany glass shine.

To display the Tiffany items even better, it is therefore a great idea to put the lamps between the flowers and plants - or vice versa. It is a match made in heaven! View our lamps online or make an appointment to visit our showroom in Lexmond and discuss the possibilities.
