Lamps Moonlights

The moon takes different forms. The real shape is always a circle or a sphere, but the apparent shape changes during its orbit around the earth and the angle at which it is illuminated by the sun.

This phenomenon of the moon's change in shape was the main motivation for Art Deco trade to design a series of lamps. The mouth-blown glass shades are often based on a sphere, but of course there are also more whimsical models to be discovered. Because the decorative glass shades are often closed, the light is beautifully diffused, like moonlight. You never look into a bright light source. The moon spreads the light in the dark night. Our glass shades are often white and clear, so in this case the light fittings should be black. Black patinated fittings in combination with moonlight: Moonlights!
