This Parabola glass lampshade was made using the Tiffany technique. However, the glass has been heated and curved in the oven. This way, a stunning, flowing shape was created!

Expressionistic, curved lines, sharp angles and exuberant, decorative elements: these are just some features of the Amsterdam School style. The unique Tiffany glass lampshade was based on this innovative art movement that manifested itself between 1910-1940. The Amsterdam School is also seen as the Dutch variety of Art Deco. The parabola is a common shape within the Amsterdam School style and that is why it was chosen to be the focal point of this design. The uncommon shape turns the lamp into a true eye-catcher with warm shades of nacre, cream and brown (with a touch of deep purple) as a charming combination.

This glass can be assembled on a Vintage linen cord and a nice tight pendulum. The cap fits on a wall fixture, both upwards and downwards. Also fantastic as a ceiling lamp and table lamp, not to mention a floor lamp!

Be creative with this item and make your own chandelier by hanging 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 9 glass lampshades with different lengths of Vintage linen cords on a round or square ceiling fixture. Stunning in a hallway or staircase etc.
